I have found conflicting information as to which it is, I am stating it here to aid in the information regarding the piece.- Rob 421/I (this is printed opposite of the Goebel logo).- I assume the piece is hand painted.ITEM INFO - Backstory:- Bought directly in West Germany in the early 1960s (1961-1964) during a vacation.- Was traveled with Back to the US after said vacation. - The bottom of the piece is customized using a fabric to prevent damage to the wood shelf it sat on; around the same time frame.- This was displayed, and eventually very carefully boxed over the last several decades.- This has been in my family since that vacation CONDITION: VERY GOOD PLUS CONDITION.There are no chips, or missing paint.The piece is sturdy, no cracks, or other structural issues.The paint is still clear, and vibrant; as pictured.There is a hole at the bottom, upon using a strong flashlight to view inside; there was no hidden issues seen.The addition of fabric to the bottom of this piece is the only downgraded feature; it is a little un-slightly but served a purpose.The fabric also allows it to sit firmly on any surface it's rested on.MISC:- Will ship in a box, it will be packaged with the utmost care to preserve it's delicate nature, and arrive to the buyer in the same condition it was packaged in.
