| The first Hummel in the Goebel Hummel series was Puppy Love. He always had the number 1 incised on his base until Goebel announced his retirement around 1988. The last pieces were made and dated 1989. During his production from 1935 when first introduced, he sported NEARLY every trademark the Goebel factory used. The exception is the 4th Trademark "Three Line" stylized bee.
